Finally squeezed out some time to take a few photos. This pandemic has kept me extremely busy. In the beginning I thought I'd have time to take photos and weave with so many activities canceled, but that hasn't worked out. Between sewing hundreds of masks and learning to order groceries and everything else we need online for either pick-up or delivery I have barely had time to repair everything that seems to have taken this critical time to break down much less take photos. I have been thinking about it, though. For a long time I've thought about photographing marbles. I have quite a few clear round and flat marbles which I used for flower arrangements. I was sure they could make some really interesting patterns. So one day I gathered them in my studio along with some printed fabric and other props. It was fun once again to be absorbed in just looking, looking at different angles, reflections, textures and colors. The close-ups and abstracts that resulted can be see on my homepage slide show.
